This is the place to gather for freshly-prepared New American food you can feel good about eating. Watch Chef Victor Brown prepare delicious small plates and entrees in our open kitchen with seamless service while seated inside or outside in the courtyard. No reservations are required and our menu is available for dine-in or carry-out. The Counter will also serve as a learning and demonstration hub to keep you at the top of your food game. Executive Chef

Victor Brown fell in love with the sights and sounds of the kitchen over fourteen years ago during a stint as a dishwasher in an OTR brewpub. Although he has no formal training, he’s spent the last fourteen years honing his craft in many of Cincinnati’s finest restaurants preparing to lead his own kitchen as head chef of EMC. His passion is creating simple food from interesting, responsible ingredients.

When he’s not cooking professionally, Chef Brown enjoys writing non-fiction essays and poetry. He and his fiancé Bobby are keen larpers.
